Rooms with a View - Designed by Sawyer & Company

With a portfolio of hospitality projects across some of the world's most iconic locations, it is only natural that the Sawyer & Company team has made it a point to invite the outside in whenever possible in designing the guestrooms and public spaces for some of the world's leading hotel brands. While the interior of any guest room is undoubtedly important to the guest experience, a room with a view is one that will likely never be forgotten. This week, we have rounded out some of the most incredible "rooms with a view" designed by Sawyer & Company, which allow guests to completely immerse themselves in the local surroundings of their temporary home away from home.

The Marriott Marquis, Atlanta - Suite

When designing the Suites for Marriott Marquis Atlanta, wall to wall windows were incorporated into the plan to not only to provide breathtaking views across Atlanta but to also open the room, allow in the maximum amount of sunlight and dramatically increase the feeling of space within the suite. The use of mirrors throughout the suites in conjunction with the large windows increase light levels, reflection and sense of scale while modern, sleek furniture creates a sense of a calm thereby giving guests a loft-like experience during their stay.

The Westin, Times Square (New York) - Suite

With views of the Empire State Building and the Manhattan skyline, this suite at the Westin Times Square was designed to reflect its iconic location and capture the feeling of a seductive upscale penthouse in the heart of New York City. The suite was designed with a wood feature wall to contrast the minimally modern space, fusing elements of nature with more industrial steel and glass accents to reflect its location in bustling Times Square.

The Marriott Marquis Atlanta - Guestroom

The design concept for the Atlanta Marriott Marquis was inspired by the dynamic architecture and energy of the people who use the space. The resulting aesthetic is linear and minimal; one that captures the notion of light, shadow and movement. The headboard is characterized by a strong sunset graphic inspired by the views from the rooms and the sunsets over downtown Atlanta, which are also seen through the floor to ceiling windows in many of the guestrooms.

W New York - Union Square Lobby

The arrival and reception living room at the W Union Square is designed with floor to ceiling windows inviting the energy of New York City inside the vibrant public space of the hotel. The wide windows open the space creating an environment for guests to retreat from the hustle and bustle outside while feeling like they are in the heart of the pulsing city. Pops of color against natural earth tones throughout reflect the vibrant surroundings of New York City as guests check in to their home away from home.
